Arthur Degeyter

Arthur Degeyter (1919–2004) studied engineering at the Sint-Lucas institute Ghent and urban planning at the higher institute of architecture La Cambre, Brussels. In July 1941 he graduated cum laude. He started his career as an independent architect in 1947 and focused on residential architecture, renovations and restorations, public buildings and churches. Until 1992 he ran his own office ‘Architectenbureau Arthur Degeyter’, after which – at the age of seventy – he still continued to make designs with his son Jan until 2000.
